Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The aim of the course, in the first step, is to closely recognize current approaches, methods and techniques in the field of Architecture, especially in the context of design methods, and to examine them in terms of "creating inspiration". As a result, it is aimed to establish a close relationship with new approaches, methods and techniques within the scope of architectural design and to integrate them into the design process.
Course Content	Primary Elements of Design, Development of Spatial Patterns, Typography and Color Compositions, Transformation and Alteration Methods, Creation and Development of Spatial Decorations, Recognition of Copying, Mapping, Folding, Curling and Bending Techniques and Examination of Parametric Design Approaches constitute the content of the course.

The aim of the course

Course Content

Interpret art history, art, culture, aesthetics and material in the field of interior architecture.
Posses manners, information and the sensitivity of fine arts.
Realize the environment-human interaction in interior architecture.
Comprehend legal arrangements, professional ethics and responsibilities in the field of interior architecture.
Realize the interaction between different disciplines that are related to the field of interior architecture.
Possess sufficient background on structural problems in designing interiors according to the climatic conditions and maintaining comfort.
Design external environment in the vicinity of the organized interior.
Apply related techniques to do research, design and artistic criticism.
Search cultural and architectural heritage and their regional and local architectural characteristics.
Evaluate an Interior Design project in accordance with users, laws of space and equipment requirements.
Distinguish between the needs, desires, behavior patterns and social and spatial disparities that characterize different cultures in interior architecture.
Realize the application criteria of the designs of building service systems that are formed by circulation, plumbing, electrical, communications, security and fire protection systems.
Understand basic principles of using lighting, acoustics, air conditioning and energy issues.
Comprehend the selection criteria of the building materials used in interior architecture and the structure of today's technologies.
Possess information on the topics such as property rights, zoning and housing regulations, user rights that affect the building design, construction and architectural work.
Describe the technical aspects of a project completely and accurately.
Analyse the necessary details in order to realize the spatial and furniture elements designed.
Achieve competence in understanding the mutual interaction between man and natural or artificial environment.
Use a combination of theoretical, methodological, and practical information in order to develop applications.
Analyse the data collected within the framework of aesthetic values, and user needs.
Analyse the necessary details in designed furniture elements.
Follow the scientific and technological developments to evaluate interaction with the field of interior design.
Create designs in interior architecture that will provide aesthetic and technical requirements.
Develop an architectural project that has a comprehensive program from the schematic design phase to the detailed system development phase.
Realize interior designs using appropriate computer aided design technologies.
Determine potential problems in the subjects of design and planning issues in the context of interiors.
Arrange and create a livable interior considering the aesthetic values in accordance with the function of interior space.
Implement the interior designs in accordance with current requirements and develop economic solutions.
Create sensitive arrangements that recognizes the historical value and importance of the interior in historical places.
