Purpose and Content

The aim of the course Teaching to the students emergence of social work as a profession and an applied field, historical development of in Turkey and in the world, intersections with other field of social sciences (such psychology, sociology, anthropology, law, economics, political science etc.), knowledge base and approaches and social work values and ethics.
Course Content This course aims to introduce students to definition and basic elements of social work. Historical development of social work profession, social work philosophy and ethical principles and human rights.
