Physiotherapy

The need for physiotherapy applications is gradually increasing in pain and dysfunctions due to injuries, diseases, disabilities, musculoskeletal disorders, and various diseases. In the success of the treatments, it is of great importance that the required applications be carried out by well-trained physiotherapy technicians. The aim of the program is to train assistant healthcare personnel who are lacking in the field of physical therapy and training in this field. 

The task of physiotherapy technician; To ensure the safe and effective treatment of patients by having the planned treatments (electrotherapy and therapeutic exercise) for patients under the supervision of a physical medicine and rehabilitation specialist or physiotherapist. Physiotherapy technician students use hot-cold modalities such as hot pack and cold pack, electrotherapy devices including TENS, interferential currents, devices such as ultrasound, infrared and traction in our university and after their education in their professional life.

Important Information

• Ø Education, practice and internships of students at workplaces will be carried out within the framework of the principles and procedures determined by the Higher Education Council.

Ø Diploma of "Physiotherapy Associate Degree" graduated from the physiotherapy program and the students who will graduate will receive the title of "Physiotherapy" (Physiotherapy Technician)

Ø When the student graduates, the courses and modules showing the competencies gained during the education period are specified in the diploma appendix.

Ø When the student leaves before completing the program, a document showing the courses and modules showing the competencies gained during the education period is given.

Ø Professional qualifications gained in the program are used in career development in business life, certificate programs and transition to all other programs when requested.

Ø This program accepts students with TYT score type.

Ø The program has an evening education.

Career Opportunities

Ø Physiotherapy technicians can work in physical therapy and rehabilitation centers, physical therapy and rehabilitation units of hospitals, special education and rehabilitation centers, sports/health centers, nursing homes, SPA / Thermal facilities.

Ø Candidates who have successfully completed their associate degree education can continue their undergraduate education in Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation, Nursing and Health Management programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS).
