Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course is to equip students with the mathematical knowledge and skills necessary to solve fundamental financial and numerical problems encountered in the field of business. Students will learn to apply concepts such as interest calculations, ratios, percentages, annuities, and cost-volume-profit analysis to develop analytical competencies that support effective decision-making in business environments.
Course Content This course covers key topics in business mathematics including ratios and proportions, percentages, commissions, taxes, market share calculations, pricing strategies, simple and compound interest, annuities, depreciation methods, and cost-volume-profit (CVP) analysis. Students apply mathematical formulas to real-life business situations to generate practical solutions.
