Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The aim of this course is to provide students with a basic understanding of international business by introducing fundamental concepts, globalization, and the internationalization of firms. It develops awareness of cultural, political, and legal environments, highlights sustainability and digital transformation as contemporary issues, and allows students to practice simple applications through case studies, supply chain examples, and group projects.
Course Content The course content includes the definition and scope of international business, globalization, and the internationalization process of firms; cultural, political, legal, and emerging market environments; international strategies, organizational structures, exporting, franchising, and foreign direct investment; sustainability, green business practices, and international marketing; and concludes with global operations, supply chain management, case studies, and student presentations.
