Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The Trade Law course aims to provide students with a solid understanding of the fundamental concepts of trade law, international trade principles, and the Turkish Commercial Code. The course will help students understand trade law and international trade regulations, as well as how to apply this knowledge in the business world.
Course Content The course covers the core concepts of trade law and international trade, including the Turkish Commercial Code, commercial enterprises, companies, securities, and transport law. Students will also explore the key principles of international trade, intellectual property rights, World Trade Organization (WTO) regulations, and international arbitration.

2Basic Concepts of International Trade Law: Freedom of enterprise, competition, incentives, dumping, monopoly, mergers
3Fundamental Principles of International Trade Law: National treatment, most-favored-nation clause, reciprocity, prevention of double taxation
4Turkish Commercial Code – Part I: Commercial enterprises and company structures
5Turkish Commercial Code – Part II: Negotiable instruments and transportation law
6Turkish Commercial Code – Part III: Maritime trade law and insurance law
7Relationship Between Commercial Law, Business Law, and Contract Law
