Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The aim of this course is to examine the basic features of the lifelong development approach; It is aimed to provide information about the sensory/perceptual, cognitive, emotional and social processes that reveal the changes observed in behaviors specific to developmental stages in line with physical, cognitive and socioemotional changes, and the effects of the environment such as culture, family, school and profession on the individual.
Course Content	From a life-span development perspective, basic concepts in the field of developmental psychology, research methods, theoretical approaches to explain the development of behavior, and finally basic information about the physical, cognitive and socioemotional changes and characteristics specific to each life stage from prenatal development to adolescence are provided. . The content of the course also includes reading current research in the field of developmental psychology by students and presenting it in the classroom.

Course Content
