Mission Statement

The Classroom Teaching Program is an interdisciplinary field of study. The Classroom Teaching Program includes subject knowledge, professional knowledge, and general culture courses. Additionally, elective courses are offered to teacher candidates. The courses are conducted in both theoretical and practical settings. The courses within the program are delivered in technology-enhanced environments. The Classroom Teaching Program is an undergraduate program within the Faculty of Education's Elementary Education Department.

The mission of the Classroom Teaching Program is to educate contemporary, democracy-embracing, technologically equipped, science-believing, constructive, creative, and productive classroom teachers. The fundamental task of this program is to equip teacher candidates with the necessary skills for high-level education, teaching, and research. The teacher candidates involved in this program are expected to transform knowledge into various products, possess the ability to manage fundamental, applied, and interdisciplinary processes at global standards, and to develop into individuals who serve society through these skills.

 Vision Our core vision is to cultivate teachers who, in the light of universal values, by benefiting from advancements in science, technology, and the arts, will contribute to future national and global development. These teachers will have respect for both qualified national culture and universal values.

Career Opportunities

Graduates of the Classroom Teaching Program could work as teachers in public and private schools under the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Turkey. They also have the opportunity to pursue postgraduate studies at universities.
