Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	Structure and use of Turkish, rules and styles of talking in front of people are introduced.
Course Content	Importance of Turkish in our society and educational life; the rules and substructures of it according to the written and spoken expressions are explained through a linearity from theory to practice.

Learning Outcomes

Explains the historical development of Turkish language and literature according to countries and ecoles.
Introduces "well-known personalities in the historical period and fields of Turkish literature" and their works from the first examples to the present.
Describes the relationship between language and literary theories and other disciplines.
Evaluates the works of Turkish language and literature in various periods and fields in terms of Turkish cultural history.
Evaluates the fields and ecoles of the field within its historical depth and geographical width.
Follows bibliography of studies on Turkish language and literature in written, printed and virtual platforms.
Defines and interprets a work or process related to the field and solves the encountered problems with contemporary methods.
Examines the works related to the field according to comparative language and literature methods.
Uses the theoretical and practical savings of the field of Turkish language and literature in the research and analysis process.
Identifies and defines problems related to the field of Turkish language and literature and offers solutions to them.
Explain the universal and social effects and legal consequences of field execution.
Reads, transcribes, translates to Turkish and examines the written texts of the historical and contemporary dialects of the Turkish language, written in different alphabets.
Analyzes the oral-written, verse and prose texts of the Turkish language and literature in terms of language science methods and literary theories.

1	What is language and communication?
2	Spoken language and the properties of it.
3	The main rules of speaking good. The rules for both speaker and spectators.( diction, stress, style)
4	Progress of planned speaking.( Topic selecting, planning, main theme, presentation of text)
5	Genres of Oral-Interpretation. ( planned genres; conference, symposium, discussion, forum)
6	Spontaneous Speaking.( introducing, phone calls, giving leads, speaking in special occasions).
7	The masters and examples of oratory from history.
8	Job conversations.
9	Applications on speaking examples. Proverbs and idioms.
10	Devoloping the ability of expressing ideas.
11	Correcting language and manner faults of conversations.
12	Applications of Oral Interpretation.
13	Speaking spontaneously about various topics.
14	Speaking planned about various topics.
