Purpose and Content

The aim of the course This aim of this course is to comprehend the Folklore as a discipline, and to analyse the theories of it. It concentrates upon the progress of World and Turkish Folklore also analyses the determination and compilation of staff in Folklore. It also aims at making practical compilation activities.
Course Content The course aims to scrutinize the meaning of Folklore, and it`s first usage; the first Folklore actions in World and Turkey and the recent status of Folklore. It also focuses on the relationship between Folklore and other disciplines and various Folklore theories/compilation methods. It also analyses the ceremonies, beliefs, applications in Folklore.

6The theories and methods in Folklore.
7Pre Islam beliefs that exist in Anatolian Folklore. Religions.
8Social norms and sanctions in Folklore.
9Transition periods in Folklore.
10Society information(veterinary, doctor, meteorology, calendar, law, mathematics, economy )
11Ceremonial Life( ceremonies, feasts, celebrations)
12Folklore beliefs.
13Games(Children games, Folklore games)
14The transition from the rural Folklore in to urban Folklore.
