Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The aim of this course is to develop students' medical English abilities and skills. Students learn health terminology in order to communicate with colleagues, doctors, patients and their relatives.
Course Content	In this course, students repeat grammar using English medical vocabulary and phrases. In addition, students learn the basic terminology, people and places, general anatomy, body systems and first aid in the field of health in order to communicate with healthy and sick people. They improve their abilities with reading comprehension, presentation and role playing.

Has basic, up-to-date and applied knowledge about his/her profession
Has knowledge about occupational health and safety, environmental awareness and quality processes.
Follows current developments and applications for his/her profession and uses them effectively
Effectively uses information technologies (software, programs, animations, etc.) related to the profession
Has the ability to independently evaluate professional problems and issues with an analytical and critical approach and present solution proposals.
Takes responsibility as a team member to solve unforeseen complex problems encountered in applications related to the field

Explains and applies the issues of preparing the operating room environment before, between and after surgical procedures.
