The Faculty of Communication is one of the first faculties established at Istanbul Aydın University, which was founded under Law No. 5656 (Additional Article 73), published in the Official Gazette dated 18 May 2007 and numbered 26526. From 2007 to 2013, the Faculty conducted its educational activities through four undergraduate programs: Public Relations and Publicity, Radio, Television and Cinema, Journalism, and Visual Communication Design.
In the 2013–2014 academic year, the programs of Television Journalism and Programming and Advertising were introduced, followed by the establishment of the New Media and Communication program in the 2017–2018 academic year. Currently, the Faculty offers a total of seven undergraduate programs. The language of instruction for all programs is Turkish.
