Our center contributes to the development of qualified individuals required by the industry by enabling students to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical experience.
The main objective of our center is to conduct scientific research in the field of new media, produce solutions to current issues, and publish these results in internationally peer-reviewed journals. In addition, by offering facilities such as the VR laboratory to support students’ projects, we aim to enrich their digital experiences.
Collaborating with companies in the new media sector to provide internship and job opportunities for students is also among the priorities of our center. In this way, our students will be able to integrate into the sector more easily after graduation.
Our center also supports the New Media and Communication Systems Undergraduate Program and Graduate Programs. We contribute to students’ academic development by organizing special seminars and workshops for them.
In short, our center establishes both academic depth and sectoral connections in the field of new media, ensuring that our students are better prepared for the future.

An Experimental Game Design on Measuring VR-Supported Therapy Applications – BAP Project

With the rise of the metaverse, new communication technologies are playing a transformative role in the field of healthcare as in many other areas of human life. In this study, the psychological and physiological effects of a metaverse-based game called “Healing Game” on X, Y, and Z generations will be examined by measuring brain activities with an EEG device. The game falls into the category of serious games and aims both to entertain and educate. As players interact with different scenarios within the game, their brain activities will be recorded in real time. The data obtained will reveal the effects of the game on emotional states and its potential to be used as an educational tool. This research will provide new perspectives on the use of metaverse technologies in the healthcare field and will form an important foundation for future studies.
