The Academic Studies Coordination Office (AÇKO), operating under Istanbul Aydın University, serves to coordinate the academic publishing processes of our university in line with quality, ethics, and international standards. Our office continues its activities with an expert staff consisting of a Director, two Coordinators responsible for academic journals, books, and e-books, a Transcription and Journal Specialist, and a Graphic Designer.

AÇKO carries out the typesetting and electronic publishing processes of the academic journals within our university and GÖZ Journal published by the Faculty of Communication; it also provides technical support for article and editorial transactions carried out through the Dergipark system. In addition, it offers consultancy in the acceptance processes of our journals to national and international indices, performs web updates, and follows up on DOI transactions in coordination with the Department of Library and Documentation.

Archiving the peer-review process reports of the published issues, preparing the printing materials, and carrying out the distribution processes in cooperation with the relevant administrative units are also within the scope of our office's responsibility. Furthermore, the publication and archiving processes of books and e-books published within our university are meticulously followed.

As the Academic Studies Coordination Office, our mission is to support scientific production on the basis of quality, transparency, and ethical principles, and to increase the visibility of knowledge through open access and digital archiving practices. Our vision is to position our university as an institution with a strong and respected publishing culture at both national and international levels.
