​​Linguistic Landscapes of Europe

The European Research Council project named Linguistic Landscapes of Europe carried out by our lecturer Sercan Karakaş between 2020 and 2022 has been one of the top 10 projects in the field of SH4.

With the partnership of University of Stockholm, Humboldt University of Berlin, Pablo de Olivade University, and University of Crete, we have listened famous professors and researchers in the field of Linguistics. In addition, within the scope of the project, academic staff and students of partner universities and the Department of English Translation and Interpreting made various presentations at national and international level.

Our institution's Department Chair of Arabic Translation and Interpretation Department, Dr. İnayetulla AZİM and his student Kübra ALİBAŞOĞLU's research proposal titled "Türkçeden Arapçaya Kültürel Öğelerin Çeviri Sorunları Üzerine İnceleme" was accepted under the TÜBİTAK 2209-A Student Projects Support Program. We congratulate the student and advisor professor and wish them success in their work.
