Purpose and Content

The aim of the course The course aims to understand the operation of optical based electronic systems.
Course Content Electromagnetic wave propagation, mathematical expression, radiation theory, energy levels of simple elements, the relationship between energy level and wavelength of radiation, the relationship between wavelength and color of radiation, the place of ultraviolet, visible light and infrared wavelengths in the electromagnetic spectrum, reflection, refraction, absorption and scattering of light, optical circuit elements
