The governance structure of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences is established in accordance with the provisions of the Turkish Higher Education Law No. 2547 and related regulations. The Faculty operates based on the principles of academic autonomy, participatory governance, transparency, accountability, and institutional sustainability. Faculty administration is carried out through the Dean's Office, Faculty Board, Faculty Executive Board, and departmental and divisional structures.
The Dean is the highest academic and administrative authority of the Faculty and is appointed by the Rector for a three-year term. The Dean is responsible for planning and coordinating teaching and learning activities, implementing research and academic development policies, overseeing quality assurance processes, managing financial and human resources, and representing the Faculty within the university governance framework. The Dean also leads the Faculty's strategic planning process and monitors institutional performance indicators.
Vice Deans are appointed upon the recommendation of the Dean and the approval of the Rector. They support the Dean in managing core operational areas such as academic affairs, student services, quality assurance systems, internationalization activities, research coordination, and administrative processes. This distributed leadership structure enhances operational efficiency and institutional effectiveness.
The Faculty Board is the primary academic decision-making body of the Faculty. It is composed of the Dean as chair, Vice Deans, Heads of Departments, and elected faculty representatives. The Faculty Board is responsible for academic planning, curriculum development, program revisions, academic calendar implementation, quality assurance policies, and strategic academic development initiatives.
The Faculty Executive Board functions as the main administrative and implementation-oriented decision-making body. Chaired by the Dean and composed of members elected by the Faculty Board, it is responsible for student affairs, staff assignments, disciplinary procedures, budget implementation, and administrative decision-making processes.
Departmental structures constitute the core academic units of the Faculty. Each department is managed by a Head of Department and includes relevant divisions and academic staff. Departmental boards are responsible for course planning, faculty workload distribution, assessment and evaluation processes, program learning outcome monitoring, and continuous improvement activities.
Through this integrated governance framework, the Faculty ensures transparent decision-making, stakeholder participation, institutional accountability, and continuous quality enhancement in education, research, and administrative operations.
