3. Project Title: Comprehensive Training Framework for Leaders of Internationalization Enhanced by Virtual Reality (VR) in a Post-Pandemic Era

Project Description: The "Comprehensive Training Framework for Leaders of Internationalization Enhanced by Virtual Reality (VR) in a Post-Pandemic Era (VR4Skills)" project is a transnational cooperation initiative aimed at strengthening the competencies of non-academic and support staff involved in internationalization processes within higher education institutions. Taking into account the post-pandemic transformation and accelerated digitalization of higher education, the project focuses on the development of managerial, digital, intercultural, and internationalization-related skills through an innovative training and competence framework enhanced by Virtual Reality (VR) technology.

By integrating immersive VR-based learning environments into professional development activities, the project supports higher education institutions in building more inclusive, resilient, and sustainable internationalization ecosystems. 4. Project Title: Gender VOICES – Making Early Career Researchers' Voices Heard for Gender Equality

Project Description: Gender VOICES (VOICES) is an international COST Action that aims to increase the visibility of gender-based inequalities faced by Early Career Researchers (ECRs) across Europe and to contribute to the development of sustainable solutions at both institutional and policy levels. The Action focuses on structural challenges affecting doctoral and postdoctoral researchers, including precarious working conditions, career insecurity, limited participation in decision-making processes, gender-based violence, and intersectional inequalities.

VOICES adopts a participatory and bottom-up approach, placing the lived experiences and perspectives of early career researchers at the centre of its activities. By fostering dialogue among researchers, institutions, policymakers, and other stakeholders, the Action seeks to strengthen gender equality within the European research and innovation ecosystem and to support more inclusive, fair, and sustainable research careers.

6. Project Title: Science in Diplomacy Network: implementing multilateral policymaking in intersectoral, cross-disciplinary & strategic domains (SiDnet)

Project Description: The Action addresses the need for advancing science diplomacy, a multidisciplinary field at the intersection of science, technology, and diplomacy, to tackle pressing global issues and other pre-eminent geopolitical challenges. The main goal of SiDnet is to create a network that fosters interdisciplinary, cross-sectoral and trans-European collaboration among diverse stakeholders, including researchers, policymakers, and industry leaders.

The work is organized into four interconnected Working Groups, each focusing on a different aspect of science diplomacy. WG1, "Diplomacy for Science within technological sovereignty and governance," seeks to facilitate international scientific collaboration while addressing concerns related to technological sovereignty, data governance, and security. WG2, "Science in Diplomacy for global challenges and sustainability," aims to integrate scientific advice into foreign policy, especially in relation to global challenges like climate change. WG3, "Science for Diplomacy via international scientific cooperation in difficult geopolitical contexts," focuses on using scientific collaboration to improve relations between nations, especially in regions of geopolitical tension. WG4, "Communication, Dissemination, Training, and Networking," ensures the widespread impact of Action through public outreach, training, and effective dissemination of results.

The Action emphasizes the role of SD as a tool for enhancing multilateral cooperation and addressing global challenges, while also promoting ethical standards, inclusivity, and responsible governance in emerging technologies. It aims to create a framework for sustainable international cooperation that balances national interests with global responsibilities and to stand out from other SD current initiatives thanks to the wide range of geografical, sectorial and disciplinary diversity that it can leverage within the network.

7. Project Title: Globalization, Illicit Trade, Sustainability and Security (GLITSS)

Project Description: Illicit trade affects all aspects of contemporary societies. By definition, the term "illicit" signals practices that are not permitted by law or disapproved of by society. It enables security threats to materialize, such as natural-resource-fuelled conflicts and terrorism. It presents safety hazards, such as those created by counterfeit medicines and drugs. It threatens the sustainability of our societies by consuming excessive planetary resources and undermining the regulated functioning of international markets. Yet, despite this obvious objective relevance, the discussion on illicit trade remains compartmentalized within disciplinary boundaries. It requires an interdisciplinary approach instead. The Globalization, Illicit Trade, Sustainability and Security (GLITSS) COST Action contributes to filling a research gap. Three working groups are established, focusing on the phenomena of illicit trade (the smuggling and trafficking of goods and money), the platforms behind it (norms, actors and regulations) and the responses to it (enforcement, alternative measures and legalization). GLITSS creates an interdisciplinary research network characterized by the inclusiveness and epistemological diversity that defines the research field today. The objectives of the Action are to create a holistic research agenda on illicit trade practices, to increase public awareness with a view to enhancing societal resilience and to explore how technological innovation facilitates illicit trade, but can also be used to fight it. Governmental agencies, civil organizations and academics will benefit from a Europe-wide discussion on illicit trade. Ultimately, GLITSS will advise stakeholders on how to create a more resilient and sustainable society by identifying, understanding and countering illicit trade.

8. Project Title: How Do Competing Institutional Logics Affect Responsible Innovation Responses? The Role of Organizational Bricolage and Multi-Stakeholders in United Kingdom Business Schools.

Project Description: This research project aims to examine how responsible innovation practices are shaped within leading United Kingdom business schools featured in innovation rankings, in the context of competing institutional logics. The research involves surveys and in-depth interviews conducted with deans and associate deans of the relevant UK business schools. Using a mixed-methods approach that combines quantitative survey data and qualitative interview data, the research analyzes the effects of organizational bricolage and multi-stakeholder interactions on responsible innovation outcomes, within the framework of competing institutional logics reflecting competition between social and economic priorities. The findings are expected to contribute to responsible innovation practices, governance processes, and policy development in higher education.
