Dean’s Message

The profound economic transformations, technological breakthroughs, and rapid social changes experienced on a global scale have elevated the role of management sciences to a more critical position than ever before. Today, disciplines such as business administration, economics, public administration, finance, and international relations are no longer limited to the production of technical knowledge alone; they have become central to building sustainable development, institutional resilience, ethical governance, and social well-being. Our Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences operates with a forward-looking academic vision that recognizes this transformation, anticipates emerging needs, and aims to educate the human capital that will shape the future.

Management sciences are currently being redefined by new paradigms such as data-driven decision-making, digital transformation, artificial intelligence–supported processes, green economy practices, sustainable finance, and global supply chain management. Our faculty does not merely follow these changes; it actively integrates them into its educational framework by continuously updating curricula, aligning learning outcomes with industry expectations, and equipping students with the ability to think strategically in uncertain environments. Our educational approach combines theoretical knowledge with practical skills while placing analytical thinking, problem-solving competence, and ethical responsibility at its core.

As a Faculty, our primary objective is not only to graduate students, but also to become an academic hub that creates societal value, contributes to public policy development, establishes strong collaborations with industry, and transforms scientific knowledge into tangible social impact. In this context, we adopt quality assurance systems based on national and international accreditation standards, continuously improve our teaching and learning processes, integrate stakeholder feedback into institutional decision-making, and uphold transparency and accountability as fundamental principles in assessment and evaluation.

We aim to equip our students not only with professional expertise but also with essential 21st-century skills such as leadership, effective communication, teamwork, and intercultural awareness. Through internships, industry partnerships, applied courses, and project-based learning models, we ensure that our students gain direct exposure to professional environments before graduation. In doing so, we enhance graduate employability while making a sustainable contribution to the qualified workforce needs of the business and public sectors.

Our academic staff represents one of the strongest pillars of our Faculty through their scientific productivity and interdisciplinary perspective. By means of international publications, research projects, policy analyses, and consultancy activities, our faculty members contribute both to the global academic literature and to real-world applications. Research conducted within our Faculty focuses on solution-oriented approaches in areas such as digital transformation, financial stability, public policy, sustainability, and entrepreneurship.

At the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences, we view education not merely as a process of knowledge transfer, but as a key instrument of social transformation. Therefore, our fundamental mission is to educate individuals who are ethically responsible, socially conscious, capable of critical thinking, and prepared to represent their country in an increasingly competitive global environment.

The decisions that shape the future are grounded in strong analytical frameworks, scientific reasoning, and human-centered management approaches. Our Faculty carries this responsibility with determination and commitment. Together with our academic and administrative staff, students, alumni, and stakeholders, we will continue to build a stronger, more innovative, and more impactful Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences.

Sincerely,

Prof. Dr. Celal Nazım İrem
Dean, Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences
