The aim of the Department of Political Science and International Relations is to educate individuals who have the competence to understand, analyze and interpret political phenomena. In this context, while providing our students with analytical and critical thinking skills, it offers the opportunity to evaluate different perspectives and develop an interdisciplinary approach. Our department also provides the necessary theoretical and practical infrastructure for students aiming for a diplomatic career. Our department accepts students with Equal Weight (EA) score type within the scope of Higher Education Institutions Examination (YKS).
Purpose of the Program
The main objectives of the program are to understand the historical development, structural transformations and functioning of the international system; to be able to evaluate the relations between states and societies with their political, economic, socio-cultural, military and legal dimensions; to be able to analyze Turkey's place in this system from a multidimensional perspective.

They are also eligible to take the annual Ministry of Foreign Affairs Vocational Officer exam.
