AGENDA
The agenda of the meeting was voted upon. The meeting quorum was met, and discussions on the agenda commenced.
- Discussion of the requests of students of the Republic of Iran studying at our University due to the ongoing conflict between the State of Israel and the Republic of Iran.
- Discussion on determining our University's "Istanbul Aydın University Corporate Identity Guide".
- Discussion on determining our University's Faculty of Fine Arts "2025-2026 Academic Year Special Talent Exam Guide".
- Discussion on establishing a "Prenatal School" to operate within our University's "Health Practice and Research Center".
- Discussion on establishing an "Istanbul Aydın University Science Communication Office" to ensure effective public dissemination of scientific studies conducted within our University.
- Discussion on determining the central examination (ALES) and foreign language score thresholds required for "Research Assistant" applications to be employed in undergraduate programs within our University.
- Discussion on determining the "Quotas for International Student Admission (YÖS)" planned for the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (English) Undergraduate Program and the Midwifery Undergraduate Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences, which will start education by admitting students for the first time as of the 2025-2026 Academic Year within our University.

DECISIONS
1. The requests of students of the Republic of Iran studying at our University due to the ongoing conflict between the State of Israel and the Republic of Iran were discussed. Following the discussion, it was decided by majority vote (Prof. Dr. Hasan Hüseyin BALIK, Prof. Dr. Ayşe SİREL, and Prof. Dr. Vahit DOĞAN voted against) to grant an additional examination right for the exams they could not take to students studying at our University who can prove they were in Iran during the ongoing conflicts between the State of Israel and the Republic of Iran, to have the exam date determined by the relevant faculty/school/graduate education institute, and to refer the matter to the Rector's Office for necessary action.
2. The matter of determining our University's "Istanbul Aydın University Corporate Identity Guide" was discussed. Following the discussion, it was unanimously decided that it is appropriate to determine the "Istanbul Aydın University Corporate Identity Guide" as presented in the attached document (ANNEX-01), and to refer the matter to the Rector's Office for necessary action.
3. The matter of determining our University's Faculty of Fine Arts "2025-2026 Academic Year Special Talent Exam Guide" was discussed. Following the discussion, it was unanimously decided that it is appropriate to determine our University's Faculty of Fine Arts "2025-2026 Academic Year Special Talent Exam Guide" as presented in the attached document (ANNEX-02), and to refer the matter to the Rector's Office for necessary action.
4. The matter of establishing a "Prenatal School" to operate within our University's "Health Practice and Research Center" was discussed. Following the discussion, it was unanimously decided that it is appropriate to establish a "Prenatal School" to operate within our University's "Health Practice and Research Center" in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 5 of the "Regulation on the Procedures and Principles of Prenatal Schools and Birth-Related Services" published in the Official Gazette dated 13.12.2024 and numbered 32751, and to refer the matter to the Rector's Office for necessary action.
5. The matter of establishing an "Istanbul Aydın University Science Communication Office" to ensure effective public dissemination of scientific studies conducted within our University was discussed. Following the discussion, it was unanimously decided to establish an "Istanbul Aydın University Science Communication Office" to ensure effective public dissemination of scientific studies conducted within our University, and to refer the matter to the Rector's Office for necessary action.
6. The matter of determining the central examination (ALES) and foreign language score thresholds required for "Research Assistant" applications to be employed in undergraduate programs within our University was discussed. Following the discussion, it was unanimously decided that, in accordance with the second paragraph of Article 6 of the "Regulation on the Procedures and Principles Regarding the Central Examination and Entrance Examinations to be Applied for Appointments to Academic Staff Positions Other Than Faculty Members", it is appropriate to set the minimum central examination (ALES) score required for Research Assistant applications to be employed in undergraduate programs with Turkish as the language of instruction within our University as at least seventy (70) and the minimum foreign language score as at least fifty-five (55), and to refer the matter to the Rector's Office for necessary action.
7. The matter of determining the "Quotas for International Student Admission (YÖS)" planned for the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (English) Undergraduate Program and the Midwifery Undergraduate Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences, which will start education by admitting students for the first time as of the 2025-2026 Academic Year within our University, was discussed. Following the discussion, it was unanimously decided to determine the "Quotas for International Student Admission (YÖS)" planned for the Physiotherapy and Rehabilitation (English) Undergraduate Program and the Midwifery Undergraduate Program of the Faculty of Health Sciences, which will start education by admitting students for the first time as of the 2025-2026 Academic Year within our University, in line with the table below, and to refer the matter to the Rector's Office for submission to the Presidency of the Council of Higher Education.
