Purpose and Content

The aim of the course In this course which is a follow-up Commercial Translation I students are informed about the documentation used in commercial life.The aim of this course is to provide students to have knowledge and skill of written translation necessary for business life.
Course Content In the course content,reading and translating various and comprehensive business letters such as;investigation,order,complaint and letters of application and texts about business life such as;foreign trade,insurance,customs and their protocols,lading charges are discussed.

Weekly Course Subjects

1Overview to the issues in Commercial Translation I
2Reading Commercial Treaty text and review the contract parts
3Overview to the Commercial Treaties in other issues (Rental contract,education contract etc.)Translating Commercial treaty text to Turkish.
4Why is the written communication necessary?What are the general principles of written communication?Reading and translating articles about the issue.
5Forming business letter and its content.Reading and translating articles about the issue.
6What is reporting?Doing translation studies about the subject.
7How is the procuration prepared?The review and translation of the content.
8What is the deed of consent?The review and translation of the content.
9Various offical paper translations(report of birth,driving licence,identity card,passport etc.)
10Forming CV and translating it
11How is the letter of recommendation written?Reading and translating it
12Reading press release and translating to Turkish.
13Reading and translating the letters on greeting,invitation and support.
14Review and reading the letters related to the exportation correspondences.
