Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	The objective of the course is to teach basic concept of parasitology, evolution of parasites, parasite types and hosts, parasitic diseases and treatment methods, diagnosis, treatment and prevention from verious types of parasites such as Protozoon, Helmint and Arthropod.

4	Helmintler Laboratory: Preparation of stained slides form sputum and cerebral spinal fluid and other body fluids.
5	Cestods and laboratory diagnosis. Laboratory: Preparation of stained slides form sputum and cerebral spinal fluid and other body fluids.
6	Nematodes and laboratory diagnosis. Laboratory Practice Exam
7	Trematodes and laboratory diagnosis. Laboratory Practice Exam
8	Protozoa and general characteristics. Laboratory:With direct examination method preparation of guaiac smear.
9	Flagellate protozoans and laboratory diagnosis. Laboratory: By precipitation method preparation of guaiac smear
10	Amoeba and laboratory diagnosis. Laboratory: With floatation method preparation of guaiac smear.
11	Sporozoons and laboratory diagnosis. Laboratory: Staining of guaiac smear.
12	Toxoplasma gondii, Isospora and laboratory diagnosis. Laboratory: With thick drop method preparation of blood smear.
