Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To acquire knowledge and skills on application of molecular biology techniques
Course Content Techniques used in Moelcular Biology and Genetics: PCR, RT-PCR, Agarose Jel Electrophoresis, Southern Blot, RFLP, etc.

1DNA isolation from human blood
2DNA isolation from tissue samples
3DNA extraction from paraffin-embedded tissue
4DNA isolation from amniotic fluid
5Quantification by spectrophotometric technique
6Agarose preperation (weigh and resolve)
7Preperation of agarose tank and pour agarose
8Conducting and screening of agarose jel with Genomic DNA sample
9Preperation of PCR mix (for specific gene)
10Amplification of target region of DNA with PCR technique
11Conducting, Screening and Interpretation of Agarose Jel containing specific PCR product
12Preperation of RFLP mix
13Application of restriction enzyme procedure to RFLP mix
14Conducting, Screening and Interpretation of Agarose Jel containing specific RFLP product
