Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To provide the theoretical knowledge and infrastructure related to the semiconductor switching elements that form the basis of power electronics, AC-DC, AC-AC, DC-DC, and DC-AC converters, and basic protection/control mechanisms.
Course Content Basic concepts related to power electronics, semiconductor switching elements, AC-DC, AC-AC, DC-DC, DC-AC converters and the operating characteristics of these circuits, basic protection and control mechanisms of power electronics.
