Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To be able to comprehend the basic concepts of electrical science and the subjects including direct current applications. To be able to apply basic circuit analysis methods.
Course Content Basic electrical concepts, series-parallel electrical circuits, circuit analysis methods, circuit theorems.

1Basic electrical concepts: Electric charge, electrical units, etc.
2Basic electrical concepts: Voltage, electric current, resistance, etc.
3Circuit models: Series circuits
4Circuit models: Parallel circuits
5Analysis of series-parallel circuits
6Kirchhoff's laws
7Circuit analysis methods: Source transformation method, Star/delta-delta/star transformations
8Midterm exam
9Circuit analysis methods: Mesh current method
10Circuit analysis methods: Nodal voltage method
11Circuit theorems: Superposition theorem
12Circuit theorems: Thevenin's theorem
13Circuit theorems: Norton's theorem
14Circuit theorems: Maximum power transfer theorem
