Mission
The mission of the Faculty of Education at Istanbul Aydın University is to advance the goal of training teachers who are competent in subject knowledge, pedagogical training, and professional ethical principles, capable of research-based thinking, and able to develop critical and innovative approaches, in accordance with national and international teacher training standards. The Faculty adopts a student-centered and learning outcomes-based educational philosophy, aiming to develop prospective teachers’ professional competencies within a framework of measurable outcomes. In this regard, it adheres to the principles of quality assurance, continuous improvement, transparency, and accountability; and conducts its educational, research, and community service activities in accordance with international standards. Our Faculty has adopted as its primary objective the preparation of prospective teachers as professionals who can communicate effectively in multicultural environments, possess digital competencies, and embrace an inclusive and sustainable approach to education.
Scope
At the Faculty of Education at Istanbul Aydın University, the implementation, monitoring, and evaluation of teacher training programs; research activities in the field of educational sciences; quality improvement initiatives based on stakeholder participation; and social contribution projects are carried out through a holistic approach. All academic programs within our faculty are structured in accordance with established program competencies and learning outcomes; assessment processes, teaching practices, and field experiences are systematically monitored to ensure continuous improvement mechanisms are in place. Additionally, alignment with global standards is achieved through international exchange programs, academic collaborations, and comparative educational practices; quality assurance and accreditation processes are supported by regular self-assessment and external evaluation procedures.
