The Mathematics Materials Room has been established to provide access to instructional materials that can be used in mathematics teaching for faculty members and teacher candidates working within the Elementary Mathematics Education Program. The materials room is located in Room 59 on the 3rd floor of Block T. This unit includes various instructional tools and materials to be used for research and practical purposes, such as unit cube legos, number rods, proof materials for teaching the Pythagorean theorem, isometric grids, two- and three-dimensional geometric shapes, algebra tiles, balances designed for teaching the concepts of equations and equality, as well as compasses, scissors, rulers, protractors, and set squares. These materials are actively used by faculty members in courses related to mathematics instruction; teacher candidates benefit from them in courses that involve instructional activities such as micro-teaching, teaching practicum, and similar educational practices.
