Computer Programming (Distance Education) (DE) is an associate degree program offered within the Anadolu Bil Vocational School of Istanbul Aydın University, aiming to meet the increasing sectoral needs for information technologies. The program aims for students to gain both theoretical and practical knowledge and skills in the fundamental principles of software development, computer systems, data processing, application programming, and computer technologies.

The most fundamental aim of this program is to train application-oriented software specialists and technical support personnel who can highly adapt to the continuously developing structure of the information technology sector. Graduates can step into business life as qualified personnel with analytical thinking skills who can produce fast and accurate solutions to problems emerging in the informatics field.
Since the program is conducted in a distance education format, classes are delivered via an internet-based online system; thus, students can continue their education with time and space flexibility. Thanks to the distance education model, participants have the opportunity to continue their academic studies without changing their daily lives and workloads.
The duration of the program is normally 2 years (4 semesters) and it is conducted within the scope of distance education. Students access course materials, learning resources, and online exams via their personal computers with an internet connection. Specific face-to-face activities may be planned for applied courses or subjects requiring a laboratory.
Upon graduation, graduates of the program are entitled to receive the title of "Computer Programming Technician" and encounter a wide range of employment opportunities in the informatics sector. Graduates can find the opportunity to work in organizations offering internet and electronic services, companies with multi-user computer systems, enterprises with computer networks, e-commerce companies, distance education providers, and the information processing centers of companies.
In addition, after the 4th semester, program students have the opportunity to transfer to four-year undergraduate programs with the Vertical Transfer Exam (DGS). Within this scope, students can continue their education in Information Technologies, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, and other related informatics fields.
