The Istanbul Aydın University Yacht Master Program provides students with access to modern educational environments and current maritime technologies in which they can put their theoretical knowledge into practice. By making use of practice environments such as the navigation laboratory, the bridge and GMDSS simulator, the maritime communication and maritime safety laboratories, and the training vessel, students have the opportunity to gain experience across a wide range — from chartwork and navigation exercises to electronic navigation, manoeuvring and maritime safety applications. In this way, students have the chance to experience, throughout their education, the real working conditions they will encounter in their professional lives.
The program's educational activities are supported through access to technologically equipped classrooms and to the printed and electronic resources offered by the university library. Students can sustain their professional and academic development by accessing digital databases, academic publications, maritime legislation and sectoral resources. In addition, the opportunity to benefit from the social areas, study halls and student support services offered within the university also supports the educational process. Within the scope of workplace vocational training (sea internship), students gain access to a real operational environment aboard the vessels and at the businesses in the sector.
