Purpose and Content

The aim of the course t is aimed that people who will work in the Civil Aviation sector, who will be allowed to enter security restricted areas due to their duties, understand the importance of aviation security and contribute to protecting civil aviation from illegal acts.
Course Content Security awareness, history, Terrorism and its history, Legislation on aviation security, National and international security organizations, Agreements, Airport security, Security restricted areas, Alarm levels, Elements threatening aircraft, Flight security concept, Bomb on board, Sabotage, Hijacking, Unruly passengers and Behavioral analysis.

Weekly Course Subjects

1Purpose of the training: Threats and targets, the relationship between terrorism and civil aviation in the historical process, the main factors in targeting civil aviation. National and international security organizations and agreements.
2Airport security concept: Passenger and crew entry and control arrangements at airports, security measures taken at airports, Airport alarm levels Passenger and crew entry and control arrangements at airports, security measures taken at airports, Airport alarm levels
3Crew screening requirements, use of personnel and airport access cards. Other precautions to be taken by cabin crew on flights and layovers.
4Security threats to aircraft: Aircraft security search and checks, passenger baggage matching on transit flights, acceptance of flight supplies, acceptance of aircraft cleaning materials and supplies, aircraft protection and aircraft access control, comail and comat acceptance.
5Definition and types of firearms and explosives, identification of prohibited and dangerous goods and articles, contingency measures, procedure to be followed in case of suspicious or lost items on board aircraft, measures to be applied to passengers who abandon the flight
6Measures to be taken in the event of a chemical and biological weapons threat
7Cockpit cabin safety: Safety criteria during flight, cockpit doors, cockpit entry and communication procedures, principles of air police application

13Behavior detection, passengers exhibiting suspicious behavior, basic principles of profiling, communication, persuasion methods, stress coping methods, anger management, listening skills, crisis management, passenger satisfaction principles
14Unruly passenger: Instructions for the identification and management of passengers who may be under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances or who are found to be under the influence of alcohol or psychoactive substances, and passengers observed to be aggressive, threat levels
