
Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Medicine English Program provides a six-year standard medical education. The preclinical phase comprises the first three years, while the clinical phase encompasses the final three years. Each academic year includes 32 weeks of instruction (annual curriculum). Education begins each year in the fall semester. Courses and seminars of the preclinical stage (Years 1–3) are delivered in English at the IAU Halit Aydın Florya Campus. The clinical phase (Years 4–6) is completed in rotation at the campus, Istanbul Aydın University Health Application and Research Hospital, and leading Turkish training and research hospitals. For the practical periods in hospitals, the preparatory theoretical training at the university campus is conducted in English/Turkish. The language of instruction during clinical internships in Training and Research Hospitals is Turkish.
The primary mission of Istanbul Aydın University Faculty of Medicine is to educate competent, skilled, professional, and compassionate physicians whose foremost priority is patient care and who are equipped to provide modern healthcare services. Our goal is to prepare well-qualified physicians capable of meeting the challenges of healthcare in the 21st century.
