  1. 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Year Curriculum, consists of the Core Curriculum provided to all students of the Faculty of Medicine at Istanbul Aydin University, as well as some area-specific courses. These first three years, referred to as the "Basic and Clinical Medical Sciences Stage," constitute the first phase of basic medical and clinical science education, consisting mainly of theoretical courses and laboratory practices in the first, second, and third years. The core courses, along with area-specific courses, are designed to equip medical students with the necessary skills for medical education.
  2. The pre-clinical courses of the first, second, and third years are structured as consecutive blocks. During these years, basic medical courses and compulsory courses for clinical medicine, as well as fundamental clinical bridging topics, are increasingly presented within an integrated program.
  3. 4th and 5th Year Clinical Stage begins with an orientation program (clinical communication, hygiene, prevention of nosocomial infections, surveillance systems, clinical pharmacology for prescription writing, etc.), 4th and 5th Years consist of clerkships based on clinical training with in-patients and out-patients.

  5. For each clerkship, students complete logbooks with duties and responsibilities according to the Core Program (ÇEP) to present to the academic coordinator.
  6. 4th and 5th-year students are evaluated at the end of each term with written, oral, and/or bedside exams and graded out of 100. In case of missing or inadequate practice, they are required either to complete the missing practice or to receive a FAIL grade and repeat the clerkship.
  7. The 6th Year (Internship & Family Medicine) consists of mandatory and elective clerkships. Interns complete their education with supervised practical patient care over a continuous 12-month (52 weeks) period, totaling 60 ECTS credits.
  8. For each clerkship, interns complete logbooks with duties and responsibilities according to the Core Program (ÇEP) to present to the academic coordinator.
