Aims
1. To educate sports educators who are socially responsible, sensitive to ethical principles, and equipped with a strong scientific foundation that reflects the professional dignity and standards of the coaching profession.
2. To contribute to the field by establishing an innovative and contemporary teaching staff and by continuously supporting academic and professional development.
3. To enable students of the Coaching Education Program to develop the knowledge, skills, and attitudes required for the coaching profession by benefiting from multidisciplinary fields, and to prepare them to work competently across all service areas of sport.
4. The Faculty aims to establish and maintain cooperation with comparable educational institutions at the national and international levels, thereby strengthening the university's national and international visibility and recognition through sustained academic collaboration.
Program Educational Objectives
PEO-1. To educate individuals who are committed to Atatürk's principles and reforms; who embrace the moral, humane, spiritual, and cultural values of society; who are democratic; respectful of human rights and ethical principles; and who possess a strong sense of duty and responsibility as educators.
PEO-2. To educate individuals who can effectively use Turkish and professional terminology, and who possess socio-cultural competencies in fields outside their discipline.
PEO-3. To educate sports educators who possess the knowledge and skills required by the profession; who can analyze and solve discipline-specific problems; and who can plan, implement, conduct research, observe, analyze, evaluate, and interpret outcomes while adhering to scientific ethics and values.
PEO-4. To educate coaches who continuously improve themselves, have the ability to work in multidisciplinary settings, follow current technological approaches, are proficient in match analysis and statistics, and demonstrate analytical thinking in this field.
PEO-5. To educate individuals who have fundamental knowledge of sports injuries and health-related issues, and who can apply this knowledge by relating it to the societal and universal impacts of sports sciences.
PEO-6. To educate expert individuals who can develop strategies to establish a sports culture across all segments of society, promote different sports branches, increase participation in sports, prepare exercise prescriptions, and comprehend the contribution of sports to sustainable development in order to strengthen future generations and protect public health.
PEO-7. To educate coaches with high information literacy, an entrepreneurial and innovative character, who can effectively use sport-specific facilities and equipment, and who are knowledgeable about sustainability.
PEO-8. To educate senior coaches who can prepare short-, medium-, and long-term training plans for the technical, tactical, and performance development of athletes of different ages, genders, and levels; who can administer field and laboratory tests; integrate these tests into training plans; follow current approaches in these areas; and continuously improve their professional development.
PEO-9. To educate coaches with sufficient professional competence to understand the physical, physiological, and psychomotor development and needs of sedentary individuals and those participating in recreational exercise across all ages and genders, and to implement comprehensive exercise programs aligned with their goals.
PEO-10. To educate coaches who have knowledge and experience in individual and team sports, possess leadership skills to guide athletes in these fields, and have the professional competence to train high-level athletes at national and international levels.
PEO-11. To educate coaches who have the knowledge, skills, experience, and communication abilities required to collaborate with all stakeholders of sport at national and international levels and to organize sports-related events.
