Admission, Recognition & Transfers

In the Coaching Education Program, procedures related to horizontal and vertical transfer, recognition of prior learning, and credit transfer are conducted in accordance with the regulations of the Council of Higher Education and the relevant directives of Istanbul Aydın University, and in alignment with the Bologna Process and the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG). Student mobility includes internal and inter-institutional horizontal transfers, horizontal transfers from higher education institutions abroad, and vertical transfers from associate degree to undergraduate programs. All application, evaluation, and placement processes are carried out transparently based on announced quotas, objective criteria, and the academic calendar.

Recognition of prior learning and course exemption procedures are implemented by commissions established by the relevant departments and faculty administrative boards. In this process, courses previously completed by students are evaluated based on course content, program learning outcomes, and ECTS workload compatibility. Courses deemed equivalent are recognized and credited, recorded on the student's academic transcript, and included in the calculation of the cumulative grade point average. These practices support a learner-centered approach and contribute to ensuring continuity in students' academic progression.

Double major programs are implemented in accordance with the Istanbul Aydın University Double Major and Minor Programs Directive. Admission to double major programs is based on academic performance criteria, available quotas, and evaluations conducted by the relevant academic units. Students' course loads in both programs are planned in line with ECTS principles, and academic workload balance is ensured through the recognition of equivalent courses. Overall, these processes ensure fairness, transparency, academic coherence, and international comparability in student mobility.
