At Istanbul Aydın University, classroom planning is carried out centrally by the IAU Planning Unit at the beginning of each academic semester. Classrooms are allocated based on student enrollment numbers, the nature of the course, and pedagogical requirements, ensuring appropriate capacity and suitability. This centralized planning approach ensures that classroom allocation is conducted based on objective, transparent, and efficient criteria rather than personal or random decisions. Classrooms are air-conditioned, largely benefit from natural lighting, and are furnished with ergonomic furniture. Student seating is designed to support both individual study and group-based learning activities.
All classrooms at the university are equipped with modern educational technologies. Each classroom includes smart lecterns with internet-connected touchscreen computers, integrated sound systems, and high-resolution projectors. This infrastructure enables instructors to effectively deliver digital course materials, utilize multimedia applications, and support hybrid teaching models.
Once classrooms are assigned to instructors, the system is automatically synchronized, allowing instructors to connect their mobile devices to the smart lectern system and deliver wireless presentations. Smart lecterns and digital board systems operate in an integrated manner, and digital content created during lectures can be converted into course notes in PDF format and shared with students upon request. This infrastructure directly supports the program's objectives related to digital literacy and technology-enhanced learning. Secure internet access is available in classrooms, enabling the use of online academic resources and digital materials. Through remote access infrastructure, licensed software such as SPSS can be utilized during classes. Attendance can be recorded both manually and digitally via card reader systems installed in classrooms.
Students of the program benefit from the facilities of the Istanbul Aydın University Library / Information Center. The library provides extensive printed and electronic resources in the fields of economics, finance, accounting, business administration, and law, including books, academic journals, e-books, databases, and sectoral reports. Access to these resources is available both on campus and remotely. Library services are conducted in accordance with the Istanbul Aydın University Library Directive and the Directive on the Principles and Procedures for Using the Information Center.
Within the university, there are physical and technical infrastructures designed to support applied education in the fields of economics, finance, and business administration. In this context, there are specially equipped classrooms structured for financial market applications as well as computer-assisted learning environments. In addition, the Stock Exchange Application and Financial Simulation Laboratory (BISTLAB), which enables financial market simulations and applied finance training, is part of the university's infrastructure.
The library's electronic resources include international databases such as EBSCOhost, ProQuest, JSTOR, Emerald, ScienceDirect, OECD iLibrary, and Statista. All resources are accessible 24/7 via catalog.aydin.edu.tr. This infrastructure supports instructors in enriching course content with up-to-date international literature and contributes to the development of students' research competencies. Faculty-based book lists are also shared for informational purposes.
