Program Overview

The Aviation Management (English) Undergraduate Program is an education program that aims to train qualified future managers required by the rapidly growing global civil aviation sector, with a balanced emphasis on both theory and practice. Following a one-year English preparatory program, the curriculum is delivered entirely in English over four years.

The scope of the program includes airline operations, airport management, ground handling services, air transportation, logistics, civil aviation regulations, business administration, and management sciences. This interdisciplinary structure enables students to develop the ability to evaluate the aviation sector from a holistic perspective.

The academic approach of the program focuses on enhancing students’ analytical thinking, problem-solving, and managerial decision-making skills by supporting up-to-date academic knowledge with sectoral practices. Courses are delivered not only by expert academic staff but also with the contributions of industry professionals who actively hold managerial positions in the aviation sector. In this way, students gain direct exposure to real-world challenges and current industry practices.

One of the distinguishing features of the Aviation Management Program is its on-the-job training model, which allows students to gain sectoral experience prior to graduation. Students participate in workplace training one day per week for three semesters at leading organizations in the aviation industry, enabling them to transform theoretical knowledge into practical skills. In addition, students are offered the opportunity to study abroad for one or two semesters through Erasmus exchange programs, supporting the development of international experience.

In parallel with the rapid growth of the civil aviation sector in Türkiye, the demand for qualified managers continues to increase. Graduates of the program may pursue careers in various managerial positions at national and international airlines, airports, ground handling companies, and aviation support organizations, and may also work in relevant public institutions provided that required conditions are met.

With its strong academic staff, practice-oriented education approach, and internationalization opportunities, the Aviation Management (English) Undergraduate Program prepares students for successful and sustainable careers in the aviation sector.
