Minoring and Double Majoring

What is a Double Major Program?

The Double Major Program is a program that allows students who meet the requirements to take courses from a second undergraduate program and receive two separate diplomas.

What are the Admission and Application Requirements for the Double Major Program?

Students who wish to enroll in a double major program must apply to the department they wish to pursue with a petition form, transcript, ÖSYS score printout, and a document proving that they are within the 20% of the departmental success ranking (to be obtained from the Student Affairs Office).

Students registered in departments where the language of instruction is a foreign language are required to submit a language score certificate from the Turkish Language Teaching Center in order to be able to do a double major in departments where the language of instruction is Turkish, except for students whose native language is Turkish.

The student must have successfully completed all courses in his/her major until the semester he/she applies. At the time of application, the student must have a GPA of at least 3.00 in the major program and be in the top 20% in terms of success ranking in the relevant class of the major program.
