Admission, Recognition & Transfers

The Bachelor's Program in Aviation Management (English) conducts its admission, recognition, and transfer processes in accordance with Law No. 2547 on Higher Education, relevant regulations, and the guidelines approved by the Istanbul Aydın University Senate. All processes are carried out based on the principles of transparency, traceability, and academic equivalence.

Horizontal transfers are carried out in three ways: internal transfers within the institution, transfers between institutions, and central placement score-based transfers (Additional Article 1). Applications are accepted according to the academic calendar announced each fall and spring semester. Applications are evaluated based on the candidates' cumulative GPA, central placement score, minimum program score, and quota availability. Horizontal transfer applications and results are processed and announced via the University Information System (UBIS).

For students admitted through vertical transfer, their previous learning is evaluated by the relevant academic committees based on course content, credit, and ECTS load. Approved courses are recognized for exemption and course equivalency, and the student's academic progression is structured according to an individual course plan.

Exemption and equivalency procedures are carried out in accordance with the Exemption and Equivalency Directive. Previously completed courses are assessed in terms of content, credit, and learning outcomes, and courses deemed equivalent are exempted. Exempted courses are recorded on the student's transcript and included in the cumulative GPA.

The recognition of prior learning is based on documented knowledge and skills acquired through formal, non-formal, or individual learning paths. Evaluations are finalized by the relevant academic boards according to the procedures and principles for recognizing acquired qualifications.

All admission, recognition, and transfer processes are regularly monitored, evaluated, and updated within the quality assurance system to ensure continuous improvement where necessary.
