Employers & Sectoral Partners

The primary employer and sectoral partner of the Classroom Teaching Program is the Ministry of National Education (MEB), and the program's education, training, implementation, and employment processes are carried out in line with MEB's teacher training policies and national teacher competencies. The program develops sustainable partnerships with private schools and various educational institutions, primarily official primary schools affiliated with MEB.

To enhance teacher candidates' professional competencies, the Teaching Practice course is conducted in MEB-affiliated practice schools under the guidance of authorized mentor teachers. During this process, candidates gain practical experience in fundamental professional skills such as lesson planning, classroom management, assessment and evaluation, and monitoring student development in real classroom settings.

The program operates feedback mechanisms involving contributions from school administrators, practice teachers, and subject-matter experts to reflect the views of sectoral stakeholders in educational processes. Evaluations from practice schools and mentor teachers are used as evidence in updating the content of teaching practice courses, improving the effectiveness of the practice process, and reviewing program learning outcomes.

Furthermore, the program closely monitors current developments in education and changes in the Ministry of National Education curriculum, aiming to increase the employability of teacher candidates after graduation. The partnerships developed in this context support the program's implementation in a structure that is sensitive to social needs, practice-based, and continuously improving. Our program's stakeholders also include various NGOs (TEMA, TGEV, AÇEV, TOHUM OTİZM, etc.), other universities, municipalities, district governorships, and the Istanbul Governor's Office. Activities are organized in line with needs within the framework of stakeholder cooperation. For example, the Center for Child Education Application and Research is a member of the European Children's Universities Association (eucu.net).
