At Istanbul Aydın University Center for Disability Studies, our fundamental approach is to address disability not only in terms of individual differences but also within the context of environmental, social, educational, and attitudinal conditions that influence equal and effective participation in society.

We believe that creating an accessible and inclusive society requires an interdisciplinary approach extending from education and employment to technology, architecture, sports, arts, and social policy.
