Istanbul Aydın University Center for Disability Studies (EYPRO) was established in 2012 to support the equal, independent, and active participation of persons with disabilities in all areas of social life.
The Center aims to conduct scientific research, develop innovative projects, and establish sustainable cooperation between the University and society in the fields of accessibility, inclusion, independent living, education, employment, and social participation.
EYPRO adopts a rights-based approach that supports the equal participation of persons with disabilities in all areas of life, from education and employment to social and cultural activities. In line with this approach, the Center carries out national and international research projects, scientific meetings, seminars, workshops, training programs, and awareness-raising activities.
The Center seeks to contribute to the production of scientific knowledge and the strengthening of social awareness in the field of disability by developing cooperation with universities, public institutions, local authorities, civil society organizations, private-sector representatives, and other relevant stakeholders.
In line with Istanbul Aydın University's mission of education, research, and contribution to society, EYPRO contributes through research and practice-oriented activities to the development of a society that is accessible, inclusive, and equitable for all.
