Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	To gain the ability of using, length, measuring and controlling angle, surface roughness, dimensional and geometric tolerance values and also to gain the habit of using it.
Course Content	To use ruler, calipers, micrometers, passimetre, passametre, universal squares, parallel-sided glass, and profilometer.

Learning Outcomes

Students have knowledge of all kind of parts,components and systems and subsystems of vehicles based on the principals and teoretical functionality in terms of heat, thermodynamics, pressure, substances, strenght and mechanic area.
Students have the knowledge of the history of internal combustion engines, is based on knowledge of the theoretical and physical issues.
Students have at a sufficient level knowladge of the computer-aided design of automobile parts.
Students have the knowledge about fundamental concepts of marketing
Students have the knowledge of storage on the use and application information of systems and computers programs
Students have the knowledge of total quality management system.
Students recognize vehcile's working principles relating with , mechanical and electrical systems / components .
Students recognize the parts used in automobile supplies
Students recognize the specification of the different fuels are used on automobiles.
Students have the skill of knowledge of to collect and evaluate and interpretation automobiles failurs on the topic of maintenance and repair.
Students has the knowledge and skills to carry out activities within area of responsibility in a team work
Students identify and determine the all kind of vehicles defect that may occur mechanicaly and electonicaly on the vehicles by objectively and subjectively and reports them releating department and persons.
Students draw the technical pictures of automobile parts.
Students use the equipment and technological tools (measuring, checking instruments and testing devices) relating with repair, maintenance of automobile.
Students market the parts of automobiles and automobiles.
Students tell the knowledge and skills of him on motor vehicles and technological developments on the person and groups and make team work.

Weekly Course Subjects

1	The definition of measurement and control, length measurement units of measurement and measurement errors, and proximity to the actual value.
2	Varieties of calipers shape, parts and varietieis. (1:10 mm, 1:20 mm, 1:50 mm Calipers) and sensitivities.
3	The definition of 1:10 mm Calipers. Reading the application of different measures. The definition of 1:20 mm verniyerli Calipers and measurement of it.
4	The definition of 1:50 mm verniyerli Calipers. Reading the application of different measures. Calipers for measuring the use of Inch (1:32 "1:64", 1:128 ")
5	Setting the micrometers and its parts.
6	Measuremnets of outer diameter and inner diameter of micrometers.
7	Comparators, using and measuring the comparators
8	İndicators, passimeters and passametre
9	Angle measurements and universal Squares, 2 sensitive universal squares.
10	5 sensitive universal angel measurument
11	Gauges and types. Using fork gauges.
12	Tanpon gauges,hole and thread gauges
13	Johansson gauges
