Purpose and Content

The aim of the course	To give Automotive Technology students the ability to conduct research on a professional subject by using all the theoretical and practical knowledge and skills they have acquired, to perform documentation preparation by literature review with modern research techniques, to improve their ability to obtain information and findings.
Course Content	It includes the search for sources/literature and writing a research report on the subject accepted and announced by the head of the department in accordance with the stages of scientific research.

Learning Outcomes

Students have knowledge of all kind of parts,components and systems and subsystems of vehicles based on the principals and teoretical functionality in terms of heat, thermodynamics, pressure, substances, strenght and mechanic area.
Students have the knowledge of the history of internal combustion engines, is based on knowledge of the theoretical and physical issues.
Students have at a sufficient level knowladge of the computer-aided design of automobile parts.
Students have the knowledge about fundamental concepts of marketing
Students have the knowledge of storage on the use and application information of systems and computers programs
Students have the knowledge of total quality management system.
Students recognize vehcile's working principles relating with , mechanical and electrical systems / components .
Students recognize the parts used in automobile supplies
Students recognize the specification of the different fuels are used on automobiles.
Students have the skill of knowledge of to collect and evaluate and interpretation automobiles failurs on the topic of maintenance and repair.
Students has the knowledge and skills to carry out activities within area of responsibility in a team work
Students identify and determine the all kind of vehicles defect that may occur mechanicaly and electonicaly on the vehicles by objectively and subjectively and reports them releating department and persons.
Students draw the technical pictures of automobile parts.
Students use the equipment and technological tools (measuring, checking instruments and testing devices) relating with repair, maintenance of automobile.
Students market the parts of automobiles and automobiles.
Students tell the knowledge and skills of him on motor vehicles and technological developments on the person and groups and make team work.
Students identify problems and solutions related searches for unforeseen situations on motor vehicle related studies
Students have the knowledge and skills to carry out activities within area of responsibility in a member of a team
Students have the knowledge of working principles of the internal combustion engines and refrigeration systems, the resistance of objects, materials, and knows the issues of thermal sciences
Students have the knowledge of automobiles and principals of working systems of the automobile sub systems and components.
Students know sufficiently usage of computer programs on 2 and 3-dimensional view related to occupation.
Students have the general knowledge of computer use,like Word, Excel, Power point programs .

2	Definition of scientific research. *Introduction to scientific research theories.
3	Scientific research methods and the concept of ethics. *Research and publication ethics.
4	Giving information about the Graduation Project Directive and writing.
5	Defining the subject and problematic of the research project. *Determining the aim, objective, content and methodology of the topic.
6	Introduction to research techniques. *Introduction to information technologies by creating a research outline.
7	Introduction to research techniques. Introduction to information technologies by creating a research outline. The basic functions and characteristics of a literature study.
8	Establishing the conceptual and theoretical framework of the research. *Identifying sources for literature study.

10	Evaluation of the preliminary study file of the research topic.
11	Evaluation of previous studies on research. Examination of methods and research plans. Transferring the research sections to writing.
