Purpose and Content

The aim of the course To teach the basic laws of thermodynamics; types of energy, properties of pure substances; closed and open system analysis.
Course Content Fundamental concepts of thermodynamics, properties of pure matter, the first law of thermodynamics for closed systems and control volumes, the second law of thermodynamics, entropy, and gas-vapor power cycles are covered.
