CENNET ORALI'19

I was born in Istanbul in 1999. I studied Food Technology at Istanbul Selçuk Technical and Anatolian Vocational High School. During my senior year, I completed a one-year internship at Turkish Airlines Do&Co. Feeling happy and successful in the food control field, I chose the Food Technology program at Istanbul Aydın University. After my internship, I received an offer from Do&Co that would allow me to both study and work. I accepted the offer and started working as a hygiene assistant at Do&Co after school. Thanks to the extensive knowledge my school and professors imparted to me, working in this department became even more productive. I had the opportunity to apply all the knowledge I learned from my professors in school to practical experience in the workplace, which paved the way for my career development. I spent two years working in production as a hygiene assistant. After graduating from Istanbul Aydın University in 2019, I worked for two more years as a hygiene shift manager at Do&Co. Afterward, I voluntarily resigned and began working as a quality specialist at Fulya Acıbadem Hospital in 2021. I worked in operations for another year there, and now I wanted to develop my skills in new product development and office work in the food sector. After a year, I left voluntarily and started working at TheLifeCo as a quality specialist in 2022. I was no longer field-based, but rather involved in some management and office work. Four months after starting, I was promoted to Product and Quality Manager and have been working at TheLifeCo for a year. I am very happy and satisfied with my current position. I occasionally go out in the field to refresh my knowledge and past experiences.

I can tell all my fellow students at Istanbul Aydın University that starting your career early brings great benefits for the future. I advise them to make the most of their time and enter the workforce early to build their careers. Every workplace is a different experience and a journey of discovery. I continue to explore and learn.

I was born in Zonguldak in 1997 and live in Tekirdağ. I completed my high school education in the Chemistry department at Şehit Major Bedir Karabıyık Anatolian Technical Vocational High School in Istanbul. I graduated from Kocaeli University's Vocational School in 2017 with a degree in Refinery and Petrochemicals. Throughout my education, I worked various part-time jobs to gain an understanding of the business world.

After graduation, I started working as a Quality Control Technician at a company that produces liquid cleaning products. Due to my outstanding achievements and performance, I was promoted to Quality Control Manager after six months and worked in parallel in the Quality Control and R&D departments for a total of one year. After one year, I started the Food Technology department at Istanbul Aydın University's Anatolian Bil. Vocational School in 2018. During this time, I participated in various professional training programs and technical trips organized by our department managers, gaining new knowledge and ideas in the field of food technology. Thanks to our department's diverse academic and laboratory resources, I've had the opportunity to participate in numerous innovation studies and trials, gaining industry experience, and undertaking diverse and successful projects. Some of these projects include coating meat with edible film (preventing physical, chemical, and microbial spoilage of edible packaging and products) and producing functional cookies (producing cookies with sorghum wheat to ensure a high-protein, gluten-free diet for celiac patients and to restore our lost values).

Before graduating from the Food Technology department, I had the opportunity to work as a Process Technician for a pharmaceutical and food supplement manufacturing company for a total of three and a half years. Following graduation, I was promoted to Assistant Quality Assurance Specialist and Quality Assurance Specialist - Manager. This allowed me to contribute to both my company and myself by making corrections and improvements to the company's quality systems and undertaking various projects.

To increase my opportunities for management positions in the quality department, I enrolled in the Business Administration program through the DGS (Direct Entrance Exam) and successfully graduated.

My advice to my fellow students would be to take advantage of this opportunity and believe that they can succeed.

I was born in Istanbul in 1995. I completed my high school education at Erenköy Girls' High School. Without making any changes in high school, I realized my interest in food, food safety, and healthy eating, and my lifestyle, which ultimately led me to decide on my career. In 2013, I was accepted into the Food Quality Control and Analysis program at Istanbul Aydın University. My university life was full for two years. I learned from successful professors in my field and made some very strong friends. While studying, I also started working as an exam invigilator at the same private teaching institution I attended for the university entrance exam. In 2015, I passed the DGS exam and was accepted into the Nutrition and Dietetics Department at Istanbul Okan University. I received training from excellent professors and completed my education within three years. After graduating, I created my own website and worked with various internship opportunities. I have given seminars on my field at numerous institutions and continue my practice. I have been working as a Kitchen Dietitian at the Istanbul Marriott Hotel Asia for three years and also work as an online dietitian. While continuing my work, I began my master's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics at Istanbul Okan University and am currently in the thesis phase. I'm currently working on my master's thesis, "Determining the Level of Food Safety Awareness in Hotel Employees." I love sharing the knowledge I gained from my master's degree with employees through training.

My philosophy of life has always been to love my profession, respect others, and pursue a life in science. My advice to fellow students is to learn well yourself, choose a good school, learn from good professors, and share your professional experience with them, all of which will lead to positive results.
