İstanbul Aydın University Faculty of Medicine was established in 2007 by the Anadolu Education and Culture Foundation (AKEV) to train qualified professionals sought both nationally and internationally. The Turkish Program was officially approved in 2015 and started education in 2016, while the English Program was launched in 2020.
The faculty offers a standard six-year medical education, with the first three years covering preclinical studies and the last three years focusing on clinical training. The academic year starts in the fall and consists of 32 weeks of instruction. Preclinical courses and seminars are conducted on campus in Turkish or English, depending on the program. Clinical training takes place at the University Health Application and Research Center Hospital and leading teaching hospitals in Turkey, with clinical internships conducted in Turkish.
Thanks to its experienced academic staff and student-centered educational approach, the faculty maintains high standards in both theoretical and practical training. The faculty's core mission is to educate competent, skilled, and professional physicians who prioritize patient care and can provide modern healthcare services. İstanbul Aydın University Faculty of Medicine aims to prepare physicians capable of meeting the challenges of 21st-century healthcare. Preparations for full accreditation by the Turkish Medical Education Accreditation Board (TEPDAD/UTEAK) are being meticulously carried out.
