At the Istanbul Aydın University Department of Recreation, our foundational objective is to cultivate highly qualified recreation specialists who enhance the quality of life by enabling individuals to utilize their leisure time in physiologically and psychologically healthier and more productive ways. Our mission is to raise leaders who uphold scientific, ethical and moral values, keep pace with technological advancements and transform original ideas into reality through an entrepreneurial spirit.

Our vision is to become a distinguished department that guides the leisure preferences and experiences of society by integrating global developments and sustainable policies of the recreation industry into the Turkish social fabric. Accordingly, our multidisciplinary curriculum—which synthesizes disciplines such as health, management, tourism and sociology—equips our students with the creative and intercultural skills required in the 21st century.

Throughout their four-year educational journey, our students gain significant experience through field studies and practical courses in addition to theoretical knowledge. Upon completing the program, our graduates earn the title of "Recreation Specialist" while also achieving Senior Coach level proficiency and the opportunity to specialize in six different sporting disciplines. Thanks to our expert academic staff and the strong collaborations we have established with industry stakeholders, we are committed to maximizing the employability and professional standards of our graduates.
