Procedures regarding horizontal transfer, vertical transfer, course adaptation, and the recognition of prior learning for the Journalism Program are carried out in accordance with the regulations set by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) and the relevant rules and directives of the university.

Applications for horizontal and vertical transfers are evaluated based on applicants’ academic performance and available quotas. Course adaptation and exemptions for transferred students are reviewed by the relevant academic boards, taking into account the learning outcomes achieved in prior education.

The recognition of prior learning is based on the documentation of knowledge and skills acquired through formal, non-formal, or informal learning processes. All procedures are conducted in line with the principles of transparency, equity, and academic quality.
