1. Student Admission
Student admission to the International Trade and Finance (English) Program is carried out in accordance with the regulations of the Council of Higher Education of Türkiye (YÖK) and the relevant regulations and directives of Istanbul Aydın University. Students are admitted to the program through the following routes:
- Turkish nationals placed based on the results of the Central Placement Examination conducted by ÖSYM,
- International students admitted through the Foreign Student Examination (YÖS) and other internationally recognized equivalent examinations.
The admission of international students is conducted in line with the International Student Admission Directive of Istanbul Aydın University, based on YÖS scores or internationally recognized examinations and diploma types accepted by the University.
As the language of instruction of the program is English, English language proficiency is mandatory for all students. Language proficiency is documented through examinations administered by the School of Foreign Languages of Istanbul Aydın University or through internationally recognized English proficiency certificates accepted by the University. Students who fail to meet the required level of English proficiency are enrolled in the English Preparatory Program.
2. Horizontal Transfers
Horizontal transfers to the program are carried out in accordance with the relevant regulations of YÖK and the internal regulations of the University. Applications for horizontal transfer are accepted through the following methods:
- Transfer based on central placement scores,
- Internal (intra-university) horizontal transfer,
- Inter-university horizontal transfer.
Applications are evaluated based on academic performance, the year of study applied for, quota availability, program compatibility, and language proficiency. Final decisions are made by the Departmental Board and approved by the Faculty Administrative Board.
3. Vertical Transfers
Vertical transfers to the program are conducted based on the results of the Vertical Transfer Examination (DGS) administered by ÖSYM. Applications from graduates of associate degree programs determined by YÖK are evaluated in accordance with the relevant legislation.
Course adaptation and exemption procedures for students admitted through vertical transfer are carried out by the Departmental Adaptation Commission, taking into account course contents, learning outcomes, and ECTS credits.
4. Adaptation Procedures
Adaptation procedures for students admitted to the program through horizontal transfer, vertical transfer, international student admission, and exchange programs are conducted using a learning outcomes-based and student-centered approach.
Within this framework:
The content and learning outcomes of courses completed at previous higher education institutions are examined,
Alignment with program qualifications is taken as the basis,
Course exemptions and equivalencies are determined by the Departmental Adaptation Commission.
Adaptation decisions are carried out in a transparent, documented, and systematic manner to support students' academic development.
5. Recognition of Prior Learning
The recognition of students' prior learning in the program is conducted in accordance with YÖK regulations and the Directive on the Recognition of Prior Learning of Istanbul Aydın University.
Within this scope:
- Courses taken at different higher education institutions,
- Courses completed within the framework of Erasmus and other international exchange programs,
- Courses taken at universities abroad
are evaluated based on course content, learning outcomes, and ECTS credits, and exemptions are granted for courses deemed appropriate.
6. Transparency, Accessibility, and Internationalization
All information and application conditions regarding admission, transfers, adaptation, and recognition processes are shared in both Turkish and English through:
The official websites of the University and the Faculty,
Announcements of the International Office,
The Student Information System and academic advising mechanisms.
Through these practices, international student mobility and institutional transparency are actively supported.
